

Jorge Corona was born in Los Angeles California on August 8, 1969, to Jesus and Alicia Corona. Jorge was raised in East Los Angeles; he attended Our Lady of Guadalupe (Hazard) elementary & Junior high. For high school Jorge attended Don Bosco Technical High School in Rosemead California.
While at Our Lady of Guadalupe he was involved in Boy Scouts (4 years) and Alter service (11 years). Jorge Corona graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute with a high school degree and an Associate Degree in Electronics. Jorge participated in the Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, ASB, and Campus Ministries. In 1988 Jorge Corona was selected to be a member of the honorary Rose Parade Band, in fact for several years there was a Rose Parade commercial that had Jorge’s image as the cover of the honorary band.
Jorge Corona attended California State University Los Angeles, where he graduated (1994) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with specializations in Administration and Accounting.
In 1990 Jorge began his martial arts training. For over seven years he trained under the guidance of a 10th degree black belt in Jujitsu. Jorge Corona had a 3rd Degree in Black belt Jujitsu. He has a 1st degree black belt in Judo and Aikido. He studied Karate, Gung Fu, Shotokan, Hapkido, Japanese Martial Arts, Muy Thai and Submission Grappling. He was also known as Sandan Sensei Jorge Corona.
In 1993 Sensei Jorge along with 2 partners started the Dojo, ROC Jujitsu. There were 3 different Dojos that they established. Sensei Jorge taught adults, teens, and children for just over 23 years before retiring. Sensei Jorge had participated in numerous demos, tournaments, self –defense seminars, and taught specialized weaponless defense training for the Los Angeles Police Department.
In 2001 Jorge began training as a Triathlete. He participated in numerous Triathlons and had 13 notable placements. Jorge also participated in 4 of the Los Angeles Marathons, 3 were as a cyclist and 1 as a runner.
In 1990 Jorge Corona and Noemi Harnen met while attending Cal State Los Angeles, they dated for a short period but they both went separate ways. It was not until 2005 when they re-encountered each other and immediately fell in love. In 2007 they married at St. Dennis Church in Diamond Bar CA.
Jorge Corona’s faith was extremely important to him, he at one point in his life believed that he wanted to become a Catholic Priest, he even attended a retreat at the St. Francis Center for Priestly Formation in San Diego in his early 20’s. As an adult Jorge volunteered as confirmation 1 & 2 Catechist teacher for St. Dennis in Diamond Bar.
In 2007 Jorge Corona purchased his very 1st motorcycle. It was a soft tail deluxe, and it was love at 1st ride for him. He loved to ride his motorcycle with his wife and friends. In 2014 he discovered a promotions club called Sic Psycles Familia. There began another amazing chapter of his life , where he was able to do two of the things that he enjoyed the most; riding his motorcycle along with friends and contributing to charitable events. Jorge was a very passionate and dedicated member.
Jorge Corona worked for the State of California as a Workers Compensation / EDD claims analyst for the last 14 years.
Jorge Corona is survived by his wife Noemi, Aka Mimi, his 3 adult children Daniel, Miriam and Vincent , his non biological children, Roman, Larene, Joseph, Sofia, his Mother Alicia , cousins , nieces, nephews , club brothers and sisters and adored doggies Dallas, Xicana, and Mookie.
Jorge will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Portal Lawn; Gate: 1, Section: 6, Lot: 1420, Grave: 4.
