Our world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but my loving memories of John, shall never pass away. My heart has been in chaos without him by my side… His love is one of the most important treasures I hold.  On this anniversary, I feel his handprint on my heart ❤️ and reflect on the legacy of love he gave. Remembering his pride as a father raising his sons into men. His delight of spoiling his beautiful granddaughters with their hearts desires. His perseverance to built a home, a successful career, spending time with the family and friends he loved deeply, and a share his life with me. My family is my rock, I hold my friends close, and my faith sustains me until we are together again.

As I reflect on this the first anniversary of John’s passing, I have learned that the death of a beloved is like the sky, it spreads over everything.  I try to hide my emotions when I think of John, but I still cry each day and the pain in my heart is still the same. There is no one who misses him more than me. Without him, there is an emptiness. I am finding its like living two lives. I have plenty of people to do fun things with and I can smile and ‘pretend’ that everything is alright. The other is where my heart contracts in sorrow and I lose the ability to breathe. 

I still wake up and reach out for John, only to remember he is gone. I hung his picture on the wall so I can look up and see his face smiling back at me. Death can’t take away our love, our memories, and experiences, those are eternal. I know that Heaven is for real and God’s promises are true. I recognize that God sends help in many forms. When thoughts and grief overwhelm me - I now vocalize my joy recounting the many blessings and love I have been given. I suddenly feel the darkness lifted off me and the light returns. I will keep moving forward, knowing in God’s perfect time, we will be together again. 


How much I love to hear about the adventures of The Stampers! 
John was so proud of his Family, his home,
and yes…his boat!! 
So very very many accomplishments in his life!
I especially think of him and all of your family at Crystal Cove Beach.  
May wonderful memories lift your hearts.
