Jesus “Chuy” Guerra Ponce Jr., Beloved,  Father, Son, Brother  was called to God's Kingdom on Sept. 5th, 2020.  He passed away in the company of his loving family. 

Chuy was born on July 9th, 1974. He was a jack of many trades throughout his life.  He loved many sports and was a die hard Raider fan.  In his early years Chuy grew up in Carson California and  attended Carson High School where he met and married his High School sweetheart Lucia.  This marriage was blessed with two beautiful sons Jesus “Chuyito” and Arturo “Arty” Ponce both sons born in July like their father.  He was a wonderful husband and loving father who gave his family love with so much passion and without measure or as he would put it “Amor Por Vida” p/v and he was just as loved in return.  He enjoyed many outings  loved watching movies at the theraters,  and occasional trips to the shooting range to fire off a few shots off of his personalized Colt 45.  Chuy was one of eight children, his brothers are Able, Sal, Martin and Fello, his sisters are Elvia, Francis and Martita.  Chuy enjoyed functions with friends and family, best of times were shared in the company of his family and loving parents Jesus and Martha Ponce.  On many of these occasions Chuy had a preferred selection of songs and music that he will no doubt be remembered by.  In a more recent time, Chuy was to start a new chapter in life alongside his Fiance Liz.  

Jesus is survived by his two sons Jesus and Arturo Ponce, his Parents Jesus and Martha Ponce, all his Siblings and many loving nieces and nephews. 

Chuy, god has called you to his side much too soon, for our young sons, I pray you watch over them and with god's blessing the generations that will follow your legacy and loving memory. May you bask in the warmth and love of God's Kingdom, may your spirit be free of all earthly worries, Rest in Paradise Chuy. 


The man with a heart of gold this is Jesus Ponce a grouchy face but a heart of gold. He was Shrek I was his Donkey since we were opposite in attitudes and In talking to people. I wish all the family and his boys comfort. I loved and will love him very much I was part of his present and future with many plans. From getting married to trying for his girl. Love you chuy . Never let your past dictate you future is something I would always tell him. You meet the person your meant to in it's due time
