Jake was a spirited and adventurous young man- fearless, humble and kind, with many friends throughout Connecticut, South Florida and California. He had a passion for life and was fiercely protective and loyal to those whom he loved so dearly.
Young Jake was fearless and excelled in skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX biking, Tang Soo Do martial arts- earning his black belt at the age of 13. He naturally brought smiles, much laughter, and joy to his family and friends.
In recent years Jake excelled in power lifting competitions, enjoyed cooking (and eating) and working with a personal trainer. Jake also showed great determination, courage and perseverance in his battle with addiction- gaining and also sharing experience, strength, and hope with those who walked the same rugged terrain, some of which though no longer with us, will never be forgotten.
Jake was blessed to have found his soul mate, best friend, and the love of his life – Dallas, who loved him unconditionally and partnered with him to create beautiful experiences and memories together in California and Florida as well, joined by their fur baby, Frankie.
Jake is survived by his parents Deborah (Richitelli) Lanne of Florida and Andrew Lanne of Connecticut, his sister Rebecca Palm of Connecticut, brother-in-law John Digirolamo, his fiancé Dallas Fisher, nephews Dominic, Dante and Gino; his godmother Nancy Lanne, aunt Amy Botti, uncle David Richitelli, his maternal and paternal grandmothers, Diane DiMauro and Rosemarie Lanne, and six cousins.
Jake’s spirit was larger than life and thus will remain forever a part of every life that he touched.
His legacy will be one of courage, patience, acceptance, perseverance, compassion, love, and humor.
A Christian service to honor and celebrate Jake’s life will take place at the Beacon Falls Congregational Church, 69 Wolfe Ave., Beacon Falls, CT on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:00am. A fellowship hour will immediately follow in the fellowship hall.
