We miss you Gerald!  You were always such a great uncle and brother!  Thank you for being so caring...we love you so much!  You are so missed!

Gerald was my next door neighbor for 3 years while I was renting a house immediately next to his on Blanche Street in Pasadena from 2015 to July 2018.  Since I moved out of that house, I have often missed the days when he would come over to my garage for a chat about car chases in LA or current events in the news.  I kept in touch with him after I moved out of the Blanche house up until the day before his passing.  

He was the best neighbor I've ever had, and perhaps the best neighbor anyone could ask for.  He never gave me a hard time about loud music, disco balls and laser lights reflecting in his windows, or loud super bowl parties; and he was always welcome to join in anytime.  I will forever recall in my memory time and again him asking me what I was “doing over there” when the sounds of power tools filled the air from my driveway or backyard while working on my projects; it was always a delight to have him around. And he was always there to lend me a tool if I needed it.  For the rest of my life, I will never forget the years for which I was blessed by having the experience of living next to this remarkably friendly and kindhearted human being.  

In the short time that I had the pleasure of being in the presence of Gerald, I knew him to be a very thoughtful, generous, caring, and genuine man.  He was witty too; he made me laugh many times.  Gerald was real.  And that's what I liked about him.  I will miss him greatly.  He will always hold a special place in my heart and bring about fond memories for years to come.

A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven.  

Rest in Peace Gerald.  We will never forget you.
