

Freeman Dale Jones, aged 90, passed away on August 10, 2024, in Clovis, California. Born on December 19,1933, in Jacksonport, Arkansas, he lived a life marked by deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, devoted family bonds, and a distinguished career. He was married to the love of his life, Christine Jones, for over 70 years.
Freeman's early education took place at Newport Elementary and Newport High School. His commitment to service was evident early on, as he joined the Marines and served in Korea, demonstrating the courage and dedication that would define his life.
Professionally, Freeman was involved in the vocational and educational sectors, working at the El Monte Rabbit Company as a butcher, Mynberg Meat Company as a butcher, and Hacienda La Puente School District and the Assistant Director of Maintenance. His work impacted many, leaving a legacy of dedication and care.
A devout Christian, Freeman was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in La Puente, CA, Red Oak Baptist Church in Harrison, AR, and Southern Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Harrison AR. His faith was central to his life, often sharing wisdom from the scriptures and living out his beliefs through acts of kindness. He served as a church deacon, Sunday School teacher and a Boy’s Brigade leader.
Freeman was a man of many interests, including fishing, golfing, and woodworking. His love for his family was immense, often gathering them for quality time and sharing stories of his faith.
He is survived by his siblings, Doug Jones (wife Mickey) and Mary Frances Olsen (husband Larry); children, Joel Jones (wife Ruth) and Ellen Hayes (husband Richard); and grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson (husband Brian), Joshua Jones (wife Tiffany), Adam Jones (wife Lauren), Christina Stryffler (husband Dan), Katherine Swaleh (husband Steven), and Carrie Hernandez (husband William). Freeman was also a proud great-grandfather to Audrey and Ezekiel Swaleh, Oliver and Phillip Hernandez, and Bethel, Nathan, and James Stryffler.
Freeman was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Christine Jones.
Freeman Dale Jones's life was a testament to his unyielding faith, love for his family, and dedication to his community.
