Frank Wall was born on February 11, 1919, to Aron and Katherine Wall in Canada. He left Canada at an early age and moved to the United States, where he pursued a career as a typewriter repairman for nineteen years. Additionally, he worked for a short period as a deliveryman for a jeweler in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
Frank was devoted to reading his Bible and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He had a passion for reading, drawing, playing checkers, bingo, painting, and was an excellent wood carver. Frank believed that the key to a long life was to love and be loved, and to treat everyone with respect. Though he was a man of few words, his lifestyle reflected honesty, humor, and a steadfast commitment to pointing people toward Jesus Christ.
His favorite pastime was chatting with his sister Helen and catching up on the latest news. Helen would send Frank his favorite booklets, "The Decision" magazine, "Our Daily Bread," and write letters of encouragement to her brother. He cherished his sister dearly and treasured the time they shared together.
Frank will be deeply missed by many, especially by his friend and caregiver, Yolanda, and her wonderful family. Yolanda's brother, Carl, would play the piano for Mr. Wall and the other residents where he lived, bringing them joy and inspiration. Jane, Yolanda's mother, enjoyed chatting with Mr. Wall and talking about the goodness of the Lord. Lilly, Jessica, and Christina, Yolanda's aunt and cousins, would call and check in on Mr. Wall, and he cherished their conversations. Frank always reminded Yolanda what a blessing she and her family were to him and appreciated the care they provided. Mr. Wall was always a great encourager through the life he lived, and he will be dearly missed.
