“Who loves you baby?!” - Eugene Cabral
A LETTER TO SLUGGO
Your smile lit up the night no matter the gloom, now I can only speak to the moon.
No matter when or where, you were on time and you were there.
Even when you hair grew white, or when your bones ached, you let me know everything would be alright.
You stayed young at heart like no one else did, you kept up with me when I was a kid.
When I couldn’t pick up my chin, you were there to lift and give me grin.
You made me feel invincible, like you knew the world was mine to grab. You made life fun, alive and since you’ve been gone, it has never felt more drab.
We will never know a class act like you again. Your charisma and charm is one that cannot be matched,
and Nana knew she had a one of a kind catch.
When the lights fade slowly, I see your face behind my eyes. I know you’re still dancing and watching over us from a high.
We will see each other soon, but until then, I hope you feel my hugs from the other side of the moon.
Love,
Your Princess
