Ethan, it will be a year in a couple of days that you have been gone.  My beautiful boy how I miss you so.  I have shed so many tears, & still do, & my heart will forever be broken💔.  I hope you hear what I say to you daily.  I hope it’s true that I will see you again when it’s my time because it is what makes me bear this awful reality that we live in. Memories of Ethan Hecht,
I married into the family when Ethan and Cameron were @ 3 years old. The boys were the pride of the family- first grandkids, first kids, first nephews. The boys were curious, mischievous, very fun and were the center of attention. I remember Ethan as a happy, unique, strong mined, and lovable young man.
Just over a year ago. I invited Ethan and Cameron to a LA Kings hockey game. At the game I had to feed the boys. Twins needing to be different had to eat at different food stand. Cameron got Blaze pizza. Ethan decided to eat at a gourmet Hotdog stand. Ethan ordered a Jumbo hotdog topped with a heaping portion of Mac & Cheese. It probably was 2000 calories. Ethan devoured the hot dog within 5 minutes.
 I told the boys that I would treat them to the souvenir of their choice. I thought it was going to take 3 minutes at the souvenir shop for a decision, but it took 15-20 minutes. Cameron had an image to think about, his choice would need to fit into his wardrobe style. Cameron was the first to decide. Ethan searched for another 5 minutes. Ethan came to me and asked if he could make a deal-could he give up his souvenir and get more food. Hilarious, unique, fantastic Ethan. Without missing a beat Cameron offer his own deal, could he take Ethan’s souvenir and he would use his own money to buy Ethan food. I loved it, business 101. Cameron got a $30 hat and a $30 shirt, and he spent $12 to buy Ethan a pizza. Well played by both boys. I smile every time I remember that story.
Last summer my family visited Ethan at college, we got to see his apartment, got him some groceries, took him for a dinner and we got to meet his girlfriend Sol. Ethan was happy and wildly in love.  
I have many great memories of Ethan’s unique, Bohemian personality that bring a smile to my face. Many include Ethan wearing dark socks and tennis shoes- the German tourist with a skateboard. Ethan is gone but not forgotten.  With Love Uncle, Michael Woods


all i have ever known is ethan and cameron being my role models. with ethan being gone there is something missing inside me and in our cousins group. i considered ethan to be my older brother. ethan and cameron were the coolest people in the world to me. one of my many favorite memories of ethan was when he slammed my face into my birthday cake.  it hurt so bad because my nose hit the countertop. i remember trying so hard not to cry because i did not want to embarrass myself in front of ethan and cameron. everything i did around him was to try and impress him. 

thank you for being the older brother i never had. i miss you more than words can describe.<3

Sweet little baby boy, this is the way I  wanted to  remember you, always  smiling. I remember  when I did your first  haircut  you stayed still and smiled. Not like your brother as your mom and dad who had to hold him for me to be able to cut his hair. Thank you for being part of our life and now we will miss you.....but you will will always be in our hearts until we meet again, love you.

Ethan and I have had a very funny friendship for the last 8 years. He actually didn’t like me too much, typical 12 year old feuds, yet we all always hung out at school in middle school and high school. One day during our sophomore year, I mentioned that I listened to Mac DeMarco and Ethan nearly lost his mind in disbelief because he was a huge Mac fan. 
Since that day, we had grown closer and closer. He got us matching Mac DeMarco shirts, he came and visited me at UCR, I visited him in San Francisco, he called off work to spend my birthday with me this past September, we had countless conversations about music and life, the list goes on. He became a brother to me. 

My heart hurts heavy over the loss of someone who always meant well. 

I love you, Ethan. I miss you so much.

That is how I first knew you from the time I heard you were coming.  We were so happy the day you and Cammie were born.  I can still remember holding you on that day and being excited that Christy would be joining you soon after.  You brought so much joy and laughter. Seeing the three of you grow up before the rest of the cousins arrived was wonderful.  I hold onto those memories knowing we could hug you as much as we wanted when you were little. 

During this sorrow, I am glad that my girls were able to build their own memories with you for the last 20 years.  They know what a sweet boy you were. Your bond and imprint on their lives will last forever and for that I am grateful.

I will miss seeing you and hearing the latest Ethan stories. Godspeed my Baby A.

Well they did, and I am so lucky to have shared a world series win w/ all three of my kids.  Ethan especially because he bled blue like his mom.❤️💙
