She was the second born of nine total siblings.
A beloved Mother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother.
Mother to eight children. José Antonio, Rafael, Adela, Martha, Abelina, Jesús, Víctor and Jacqueline.
She migrated to Los Angeles in 1976, like many others, in hopes of a better future for herself and her kids. Little did she know, she would be setting the foundation for many generations to come.
A strong, independent hard worker. She always made sure everyone was well taken care of. Estefana loved to cook. Birria, Mole, Enchiladas Rojas, Gorditas, Tamales, Ensalada de Nopales. Just to name a few of her delicious dishes. Her homemade salsa’s were definitely spicy, yet so tasteful. Can’t forget about her Pan de Trigó and Capirotada either.
One of her favorite hobbies was knitting. She would often sit on her front porch in the afternoons and begin to knit away. From knitting blankets for her grandkids. To making shoes, gloves, beanies, and placemats. Her creativity was always on point.
If you ever had any interaction with her. You would know just how much of a special and beautiful soul she was.
The impact she left on so many lives, will never be forgotten.
What began as a journey for a better life, ends in a bittersweet triumph.
Her legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She will be extremely missed but will live on in our hearts forever.
May she Rest In Peace.
