Erika Beatriz Ponce was the youngest of four children born to Nicolas and Beatriz Ponce on August 20, 1984. Erika passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2021. She is survived by her mother Beatriz, her three brothers Carlos, David and Jose as well as her fiancé Jorge Jimenez and her two stepchildren Victoria and Georgie. She was preceded in death by her father Nicolas Ponce.
Erika was a big hearted and cheerful person who always had a positive outlook on life and an infectious smile. Her biggest joy was being around her family. She was a loving stepmother, aunt, Nina & Mima who loved each child like they were her own.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Erika spent 17 years working at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Most recently she worked for the Urology Department. She enjoyed her job and will be missed by many co-workers whom she became close friends with throughout her time at “The Ranch.”
Although she is no longer by our sides she will live forever in our hearts. Goodbyes are not forever, nor the end; they simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again.
