Eddie Yet-ming Wong was born in Shanghai son of Wang Yuen Long and Tan Shiao Chi, brother to Jeannie and Lt. Col. (Ret) Kenneth Wu, Patricia and Francis Luk, and Harry Wang and Lily Mui, proud father of Christine and Raymond. An electrical engineer he started his career in Taiwan for Air Asia as a mechanic and a foreman. In 1967 he arrived in Seattle Washington and quickly found a role at Boeing Aircraft.
In 1970 he moved to Los Angeles to work on mobile cinema infrastructure for the entertainment industry. He faced many challenges as a Chinese immigrant in a competitive field and used his skill and dedication to overcome adversity. This same passion led him to pursue independent entrepreneurship as a restaurateur as well as facilitating international trade. To many of his acquaintances and colleagues he could be seen as imperious and stubborn. Those that were in his inner circle knew his playful humor, high caliber of loyalty, and resoundingly deep laugh.
