Dolores was the daughter of Edward and Helen Sanchez, and the second oldest of their four children, (Ed, Dolores, Cathy and Daniel).
Dolores married Michael F. Davis in 1962 and is survived by their four children; Matthew J. Davis, Michelle H. Davis, Mary E. Davis, and Marcus T. Davis. She is grandmother to Warren, James, Sarah, Ariel, Amber, Jason, Adam and Emily and great grandmother to Nathan, Aria, Oliver, Autumn, Christian, Juliet, and Jacob with whom she remained active in her later years.
In 2002 Dolores 40 year career as a Master Machinist and self-taught design engineer, ended in the tragic loss of her right arm in an industrial accident. During her recovery from that injury, she earned the nickname “Grambo” from the doctors and nursing staff, for her tenacity, fighting spirit, high tolerance for pain, and unwavering passion for family and life.
Dolores lived her faith openly and embraced every opportunity for laughter, fellowship, worship, and song. She practiced pastel and pencil drawing as well as oil and acrylic painting. She played guitar, enjoyed scuba diving and was an avid bowler, video and board game player. Her love of fishing remains legendary among her family, whose passion for which continues.
Dolores’ infectious love and passion for life has instilled in her descendants’ similar qualities. She was a loving human being, always willing to help in any way she could, giving to a fault. Her absence will echo in the lives of those she leaves behind as we celebrate her life.
Everything she was will live on in the lives of those she loved and honored with her presence (daughter, sister, mother, aunt, ggma, great ggma, and friend) during her cherished life.
Rest in peace in your heavenly home.
