Dennis was my friend for over 25 years and we talked to each other every day during that time.  The people Dennis introduced me to, from famous well known celebrities, business and political figures to sports athletes is endless.  His kids, Dawn, Denny and Doreen are now an extention of my own family and I love them all because of Dennis bringing them into my life.  I love you for being such a good friend and I will miss our bantering and the pranks that we pulled on each other for years.   Your going to be one heck of a good angel on God's team. Love you Dennis and thanks for the memories.  I miss you already.  With love.....


Dear Dawn, Doreen and Denny, I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Dennis was always so kind to me. I always enjoyed going to your house to visit. I also enjoyed going to the hockey games and basketball games  with your family. Uncle Dennis was always a fun person to be around and I could always tell that my dad enjoyed visiting with him. I know that,  if my parents were here, they would say that your family was always so special to them.  Please know that my prayers are with you all. I feel blessed to have been touched by such a special family.  Love you all!

It was always a pleasure to talk with Mr. Murphy when he came with Dawn to our dance class. He was a font of knowledge on sports. His sweet tooth was known to all of us who would sneak him some treats from the table. Wish I had met him earlier. He will be missed by many.

Dear Dennis Jr, Dawn and Doreen,

I was so sad to hear of your wonderful Dad's passing.

I will always cherish the wonderful times we all had at the Basketball games in Miami, Fla and lots of other wonderful events your Dad always treated the Mitchell family to.

He was truly like a 2nd Dad to me and I will miss  him dearly.

Murph, as many of us called him, was a sports genius, visionary, incredibly funny, master storyteller, and a great businessman. I met Murph while working on The American Giants, and Sports City USA. While I learned a great deal from our conversations, my delight came in the epic storytelling of which he was so accomplished. But it was the laugh. That smile accompanied by that laugh that captured my heart.  I have not talked to Dennis in years, but think of him everytime I watch Hockey, NBA or Tennis! RIP Murph.
