One year today, yet it's still hurt the same. I miss the visits, the calls, the texts and the favors just as much as I miss the requests. I want to pick up and the phone and just hear "Auntie" followed by silence before I can even say hello just so I can know that it's you. I miss you so much my Nephew and I love you more and more each day. It's hard for me to grasp the reality of it all. I look back and dont know how I've made it through this first year, I didnt know how I was. But day by day, with only memories, I've gotten by.

It's still unbelievable that all I have left of my Nephew-Son are the memories that we built. I still remember how amazing it felt when my mom told me that my sister would be bringing us a baby home. From that day I made Johnny my life's mission. I promised myself I would protect him with everything in me. Johnny's crib was in my room and I remember staying up all night watching him sleep and making sure he was okay. As an adult, I remember telling Johnny many times how much I was invested in his well-being. Johnny is my baby and I promise to cherish him. A big thank you to my sister for our blessing.

 I am his older cousin who lived with his Granparents, mother and Uncle , from time to time .I was a diaper changer and a milk bottle maker. What I can say is , he started to run the house , trying to do everything , as for ,Protecting his mom, and sister. Once his sister( Legend ) was born. It showed he was a really special kid. With so much love to give, I was very Impress with the relationship he had as a teenager with his Mother. I never understood the changes At the time of Johnny pulling away from the most important person in his life, his mother. He stood his grounds as a Loving  Father, trying to impress his Mother and Father. I love my cousin

My memories with my Nephew start from Birth. My Early years with him would Actually be his first days on Planet Earth. He was my SON before I had a Son .I can't count how many times me and his dad let him Roll of the bed with that bighead. My memories of him being a tough little guy and Always a Father son Relationship.

If someone would have told me 12 years ago when I met Darius that we would grow older together and later birth 2 beautiful children I would have laughed , everyone who knew me back then knew that me & Darius would NEVER be “a thing” but April 15, 2013 he called me telling me to come outside and “talk” to him (After stealing his moms car that night😂) & I remember him asking me “What would you do if I asked you out right now?” my reply ,”Why don’t you ask me & see boy” trying my hardest to act hard & the rest was HISTORY! We were Inseparable!! 18 with our own house, car and a brand new baby, you know we went through hell and back but our love was real, unconditional, raw, young black love. Lil Johnny, I look at all these RIP post with your name and it seems unreal. I wish I spent more time with you in your older years. I hope you know I truly love you. Then, Now, Forever... You were my "Practice Baby". You helped me prepare for the birth of my 1st kid.  There's so many memories that cross my mind throughout the day. And they all bring a smile to my face.  I’ll think of you a lot because every time I look in my yard I look down there and I’m visiting you work working hard and doing a good job cutting the trees taken down for getting up all the debris no one had ever been in my yard that I’ve been paying to do this job and you went in there in a couple of days and got it done he did a good job and I always think of you the sad part is you didn’t get to finish and that hurt me. That hurt my heart More so because I haven’t finished but when I finish I dedicated to you the person who started the job you did it better than me I love you rest rest rest Johnny

My brother ❤ My BIG brother at that.. Blood couldnt have made our bond stronger.. From the first day dad & your mom introduced us it was like we was brother & sister for real. I know we didn't always talk but you was always there when I was going through it. I'm so very sorry I couldnt make it to your homecoming but just know lil sis was there in spirit.
