Nino (Christopher Castaneda), was a family man, a person you can tell your troubles too and he won't judge nor condemn you for it. But instead would give knowledge or at the least be a great listener. So therefore when we think of him we should always remember what a great soul he truly was and the impact he had on our lives. His funeral and services were very beautiful and I'm thankful for everyone who was there to celebrate his new life in heaven amongst the rest of the beautiful souls we have lost on this earth. God bless and John 3:16-For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Ths is cousin Stacey, and this is my most fond memory with Chris. I was visiting my Nino and Nina with my parents when they decided that they wanted to take a road trip to Reno to visit the site where they displayed a piece of the actual London Bridge from the UK. Unfortunately, we could never find where they put it. However, what made the journey fun and hilarious was the way Chris drove us around. We were all packed into his van (me, Jessie, Nina, Nino, Ryan, my mom and dad) and anytime there was an uphill/downhill road, Chris would imitate sounds of a rollercoaster and anytime we went downhill he would let out a loud "WHEEEEEEEEE!" that made everyone in the car laugh. Anytime there was a sharp turn, he would turn into it really fast, making all of us in the back seats smash into each other, and giving us whiplash. That trip started an inside joke where anytime we take a turn on the highway or go downhill on the road, we would shout "whee" like he did or sometimes would mock the London Bridge that wouldn't be found. Some other big memories were when he would make fun of the way I stomped when I walked past him and he would imitate Sully from Monsters Inc and how he walked in the movie. Anytime I complained or whined, he would call be Baby Shoes and would wave a pair of mini converse that was latched to his key chain in my face which would cause most people around us to laugh. The amount of times I witnessed him win big cash in Las Vegas because of how lucky he was. He was also a talented artist, and painted the joker that's on his bedroom door and painted and created many of my decorations for my quince. I will always be grateful for the laughter. Thank you for making everyone smile.

My condolences to the Castaneda family. So young & full of life, so now he continues at the house of God . Rest in peace Chris, you are Loved.

It’s so hard to believe you’re no longer with us. We moved away from California when I was just a little girl so my memories have gotten old and faded but some of my fondest memories are those of the parties that were at your Mom and Dad’s house! I’ll always remember you dancing the night away to the best disco music! I know you are in heaven dancing with your beautiful momma and Dad. Rest in peace, cousin. 🕊️

Rest peacefully cousin. You always showed up for us, you would help my Tia and Tio get around, but even after they were gone, you still made sure to be there for every important moment. You reminded me so much of my Aunt Susanna when we would talk and one of my favorite memories is of the two of you dancing and laughing the night away. I'll miss you, but I know in my heart you're up there with everyone.  We will carry you with us just like we do with them. Love you ❤️

You have always been my friend, dance partner (whenever you dragged me out to the floor) and my silent supporter! I don't remember a time where you weren't there for me. You were at every graduation, promotion, softball game, every holiday and birthday. There was never a dull moment with you around. You have shown me what family love, loyalty, and support should truly mean. I am going to miss your smiles and your hugs! You will be extremely missed. I love you my Nino!

Nino you will be forever missed thank you for being the best uncle and Nino to Ryan and thank you for being an uncle to Bri and Greg too…Me and Jesse have always been forever grateful for your heart of gold. My memory of Marta’s funeral broke my heart, but I know you are holding hands and singing songs of glory with her and your dad now and looking down on us all. I love u forever Nino thank you for having a heart of gold 💛 🕊️ RIP
