Bryson Yang was born on June 9th, 2006 in Fullerton, California and gained his wings on January 29th, 2019 after eleven months of battle against leukemia. He was a fearless warrior who kept faith and stayed positive until the very end. Bryson truly believed no child deserves cancer and wanted to become a pediatric oncologist to find the cure.
Bryson attended Southland Christian Pre-School, Evergreen Elementary, and South Pointe Middle School. Social Studies was the subject he enjoyed the most. Robotics and Chess were two clubs he participated regularly at school. Bryson also loved playing saxophone and piano. He was really looking forward to try-out for school's wind ensemble but never had the opportunity due to his illness. Outside of school, he was enthusiastic about attending debate and coding classes. He was an energetic, kind, and caring boy who always enjoyed making new friends and helping others.
During his spare time, Bryson loved to read, play on-line games with friends, watch you tube videos about food, play board games with family, and goof around with sister Breanna. He also loved to travel and take family vacations. Bryson especially enjoyed going to Asian countries. Delicious food in Shanghai and night market shopping in Taiwan were his favorites.
Bryson’s sweet, loving, and generous personality shined through his actions. He always remembered to celebrate family’s birthdays, holidays, and special occasions with handmade cards, flowers, and/or gifts. He never hesitated to show his affection toward family and knew the perfect moments to give hugs, cuddles, and kisses.
Bryson's favorite color was blue, favorite food was sushi, favorite sport was basketball, favorite NBA player was Chris Paul, favorite type of book was comics, favorite drink was honey boba grass jelly milk, favorite ice cream flavor was strawberry, favorite game was Overwatch, favorite band was Imagine Dragons, and favorite brand of clothing was Nike.
Bryson was the best brother, friend, cousin, nephew, grandson, and son one can ever hope for. Even though he was taken way too early, the memories he shared with everyone were precious and everlasting. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
