My name is Eva McHenry, eldest daughter of Bernardo Ybarra and Tury’s sister.  Although I spent little time with Tury growing up, the times that we did were fun and full of laughter.  I can attest to the fact that he was a good and decent man, a “Family Man” in every sense of the word who loved his wife and his children.  My father loved him so very dearly.   

My fondest memory of Tury was on my 15th birthday when he presented me with a lovely sapphire ring which I wore daily for decades.  I still have it and will pass it on to my daughter.  
 
Although I will not be attending the funeral, I will be there in spirit sending you thoughts and prayers.  On behalf of the McHenry family, our deepest condolences to the Ybarra family and all who loved Tury.  I know words cannot take away the hurt you’re feeling, but I want you to know we’re thinking of you in your hour of grief.  May you always feel your Dad’s presence in your heart.  

Tury, your time on earth has passed too soon but I rejoice in the grand reunion you are now having with those who you love who went before you.  Please give our father a great big hug for me.  Till we meet again, Rest in Peace big brother. 



Uncle Turi, thank you for so many good memories...all the times Lisa and I would tag along to the little league baseball games you couched because we wanted to play with Anna or to just get out of the house .😊 All those times we would go with you and Grandpa Berna to the park to watch you play handball with him or you would play over the line with all of us...Carlos, Artie, Richard, Thomas,Corney, Anna, Lisa, and I...and those days going fishing off the pier...such beautiful evenings.  I remember how you would sit outside in your front yard at the house on 8th Ave to stay cool underneath that big tree on a warm day. Us kids use to love climbing that tree. We all have so many memories at the houses on 8th.  And who can forget those trips to Vegas in the Astro van while Auntie Anna would listen to "Lovin You" and all the other oldies but goodies songs.  So many precious times that we will carry in our hearts. 💖 It brings me comfort to think that you are reunited with the Lord, your brother's and other family (my dad Carlos and my uncle Jimmy, uncle Frankie, aunt Simona and your mom and dad).  May you be in God's Glory now and forever uncle Art.  We love you and miss you! 💕
