"Laughter is the best medicine" is a metaphor that captures Uncle Art's positive personality and his huge warm and caring heart. Whenever kids got cuts or fell, he was immediately there to make them laugh to brush off scrapes and pains. He relates to you, to be humble with others and make them laugh.

Uncle Art still makes me laugh even today. As a child, my family would visit Uncle Art and Tia Virginia and I remember that he always got the room to listen to his funny stories. I believed them. I still do, even today because it is a part of who he is.  Art was the master of entertaining.

Uncle Art might have told tales, but he was never unlucky in having so many people respect him and love him as friends and family because he was a one of a kind, a generous, warmhearted, friendly, funny person that will always be remembered, and that is a fact.

Rest in Peace in Heaven Uncle Art. Sing that karaoke forever.

Our Condolences to all the Lucero family. We  truly will miss our Primo Art! No words can express how sorry we are on losing such a awesome Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle,Nino & Primo Compadre. He was a jack of all trades and did so much for all of us. Thank you Prima for sharing him with all of us. Art was a fun loving man . Loved his wive Virgie, his children, and his brothers and sisters. He was a Vietnam Nam veteran who was proud of his service. Each time we were in his presence, he made us feel welcome. Art will be missed by all who knew him, and especially me, because I too, am a Vietnam Nam veteran, and I feel like have lost  a good friend, and a brother. Rest In Peace my brother.

I met Art in 1982 at Gas Co (Whittier Base).  His totally positive attitude no matter what was happening was always such a kick.  Lots of great times.  Virginia and his family were always sweet.  Will miss you brother...I learned from you to look at that glass as always "Half Full!"

I grew up with art Lucero on Bridgeview he was a little older than most of our guys he grew up with Charlie Jimenez but that never stopped him from talking to us telling us jokes as you all know he was a funny guy always had us cracking up as we got older it seems like I got closer with him. Virginia and all the Lucero family and all the family and friends we lost a good one here God needed another singer for his choir he got one good one ❤🙏🎤

My Nino was one of a kind. He was a Loving husband to my Sister a wonderful father to my nieces & nephew a wonderful grandfather to his granddaughter & grandsons the best brother to his brothers & sisters, one of the best uncles to ALL his nephew & nieces a loving & crazy  loyal friend to many, many Friends & The Best godfather a girl could ever ever ask for.  I love you Nino Forever & Always rest in Paradise ❤️
