Andre Keith Morrison

On March 1, 1958, in Los Angeles, California, Walter Bernie and Jean Evelyn Morrison (née Roscoe) welcomed a bouncing baby boy they named Andre' Keith. Keith was known by his middle name and also by his pet name, "Bubby". He grew up in South Los Angeles and attended 66th Street School, Bethune Junior High, and graduated from John C. Fremont Senior High. During his early years, Keith began living with his godparents, Elder Daniel L. Griffin of Thankful Baptist Church, and was introduced to and accepted Christ into his life. Early on, he learned to play the piano and the guitar. The guitar became his favorite. He was gifted and excelled on the "bass". For a time, Keith was a member of the gospel men's group, "The Silver Stars"; he played his favorite "bass" guitar.

In 1974, Keith met the love of his life, Jacqueline Sebastin, and in August of 1976, they married. Through this union, they had one child. Keith's last known employment before becoming ill was as a cashier at a department store. Thereafter, he resided in Compton, CA, which allowed him to be close to his mom until her passing. Keith enjoyed walking and eating, then eating and walking. His favorite food was Chinese.

Andre' transitioned to His Father on Monday, April 27th, at San Bernardino Community Hospital.

Andre was preceded in rest by his parents, Walter Morrison & Jean Williams, two aunts, Robbi Broom & Ann Morrison, one Uncle, Paul Rasco, two brothers, Calvin L. Morrison & Irenton Tony Morrison, and one grandson, Kaumanee Jackson.

He leaves to treasure his memories: one daughter, Ayesha Shanntay; two brothers, Michael L. Morrison, Sr. (wife Toni) and Danny J. Morrison; two sisters, Carla Yvonne Glaspie (husband David) and Inaya Ameka Turner (husband Derek). Two grandchildren, Benjamin & Sebastin Butcher. Multiple nephews & nieces: Te'ria, Michael Jr., Sheldon, Da Juan, Damon, Desmond, Tymeka, Tyler, DaVonna, David, III, Candace, Crystal, Calvin Jr., Joshua, Brian, Brelyn, Brooke, Bryman & Brennan. Also, a host of grandnieces & grandnephews: Joshua Bell, Gabriel & Heaven, Michael, Isaiah, Chyna, Benjamin, and Alame. Adopted Aunt Lula Mae Turner, Adopted brother & sisters, Stanley, Regina & Brenda Potts. In addition, two special loved ones, Jacqueline Morrison and Lateefah & Nene Bell. Plus a multitude of family and friends who cared for him.
