Terry was born in the Philippines on February 20, 1950 to Braulio and Dominga (De la Cruz) Pagkatotohan. The oldest of seven children, Terry graduated high school as Valedictorian at Emilio Aguinaldo High School and pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration. He earned his second Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy at the University of the East. Terry later met Eleanor Fernandez Godoy while working as an Accountant at Capitol Industrial Construction Group in Manila, Philippines. They fell in love and married on August 26, 1979. Determined to provide a good life for his wife and their three children, Terry traveled abroad to Saudi Arabia where he had much success in his career. He and his family eventually migrated to California between 1988 and 1989.
While Terry had many interests including tennis, cooking, and singing; he was most passionate about his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Oftentimes, Terry could be found with a big smile on his face while snapping candid pictures of his wife and children on family outings and celebrations. He was a gentle soul who could make friends with all those he came across. His kindness and patience were unmatched and his sense of humor unforgettable. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
Terry is survived by his wife; his children, Pia, Gela, and TJ; his grandchildren, AJ, Caylie, Mica, and Mateo; and his siblings, Lourdes, Jojo, Levy, Maritess, and Gerlie. He is predeceased by his parents and youngest brother, Boyet.
