Mr. Kim was born January 27, 1941 in South Korea where he spent his formative years with his parents, four sisters and two brothers. He lived and studied in the city of Seoul, South Korea and Frankfurt, Germany before immigrating to the United States in 1968 where he embraced Los Angeles and was part of the historic first generation of Korean-Americans. Mr. Kim became a citizen of the United States and went on to become a Professional Engineer and spent over 25 years in aerospace for Teledyne, Hughes, Litton and Northrop. He also helmed several businesses including donut shops, silk-screen printing shops, and an electrical engineering company. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time in nature and would often be seen atop his tractor at his beloved property in Pionero. He is survived by his three granddaughters, one grandson, one son-in-law, three daughters and wife who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service for Mr.Kim will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - Hillside Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601.
