Dear Elliott,
Your sweet mother was such a delightful friend.  After we retired together, we kept in touch with our monthly lunches  along with two or more  teachers or retirees.  
Terry was a loving  and thoughtful person.  I must have mentioned once how much I liked her sunglasses, and guess what I received the following Christmas?  I’ve worn those glasses for years.  I remember your mother’s love of turtles and found a beautiful ceramic one on my last trip to Maui that I gave to her on her last birthday.  She probably thought, oh, another knickknack to
dust.  I even found a a pair of clip earrings recently in anticipation of her next birthday.  
Although we kept in touch by text and calls, I felt that your mom kept so much of her pain private.  She certainly was a brave soul.  I would send her cards of encouragement every other week to help keep up her spirit.  She would always acknowledge the cards, but I realized her lengthy stay in rehab was a struggle.  
Your mother will be greatly missed and always remembered as a faithful loving 
friend.   Always remember, Elliott, that she felt blessed to be your mother.

I worked with Terry for 10 years at South Pointe Middle School.  She was such a loving and caring person; not only to her special needs students, but with everyone she came in contact with.

Terry and I had many conversations over the last 12 months.  The last time I talked to her, I told her, "I Love You".   I loved Terry's kindness she showed to all she knew.  I loved Terry's devotion for caring for her Mother, at the most difficult times in her life.  I loved Terry for always trying to make a difference in someone's life.

To Elliott, her Mother, sisters and brother......Terry was a, "jewel", and I will never forget this wonderful lady.  A job well done, Terry.

God has called her home and my happy thoughts are that she is with her beloved,  Bob once again.  RIP.

Terry and I were childhood friends. We have known each other since the 7th grade. Terry was the Maid-of- Honor in my wedding. 
I can still remember when Bob  and Terry went to Japan for their bundle of joy, Elliott. 
Terry was a very caring and thoughtful person. She visited my Mother often. My Mother made sure Terry received a dozen of her tamales that she made on Christmas Eve .
I will miss my dear friend.

Terry and I were colleagues at South Pointe Middle School.  Terry was an outstanding teacher and  a passionate advocate for her students.  Terry's empathy and commitment to her students was very evident to those who had the great good fortune of teaching alongside her.  I never knew a time when Terry was anything but focused on her students.  Terry's students and their parents were all very fond of Terry and were well aware of her dedication to them.  l know of no one who had anything but respect for Terry.

Besides being a dedicated teacher Terry was also a loving wife to Bob and mother to Elliot.  I recall how proud Terry and Bob were when Elliot came into their lives and how proud they were of Elliot's many accomplishments.  Elliot, you brought your parents so much joy and happiness.

Every Christmas Terry would give me a bottle of Chivas Regal Scotch, my favorite beverage.  Her generosity was always greatly appreciated.  When I next drink a glass of Chivas Regal, I will do so in your memory Terry.  

Terry showed an inordinate amount of courage throughout Bob's illness and her own.  She was a remarkable woman who will be missed by all who knew, liked and loved her.  

Elliot~ sorry to have learned of your mom's passing.....a very  devoted colleague, passionate in helping "her kids" with a gentle smile and kind words for everyone.   I readily recall that years ago, when your mom was distributing Christmas candies and sweets to the teachers in our core, she  gave me a bag of Cheeto's !  A most considerate, thoughtful gesture which has obviously not been forgotten.  Fond memories which evoke smiles are  a magnificent part of every legacy.  Thoughts & prayers to you and those you love.
