Samuel (Sam) Sheng-Chou Kung peacefully passed away on December 11th 2023 in Fullerton, California at the age of 93. Born on April 9th, 1930, in Jiangsu, China, Sam lived a rich and extraordinary life. Growing up in a coastal town with his parents and three younger brothers, Sam and his father left China for Hong Kong when he was an 18-year-old amid political uncertainty. The two ultimately settled in Taiwan and built a life there. Sam met and married his wife of 60 years, Helen Kung, in Taiwan and welcomed their two daughters Irene and Nancy. The family immigrated to California and settled in Fullerton, where Sam pursued his passion in electrical engineering before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, dining, classical music, reading and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one granddaughter, Charlotte. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
