Miss my best friend of 73 years.  We talked often on the phone and could talk about anything never judging each other.  
I am glad to know she is not suffering anymore and I have so many good memories.

Dear and remembered Rosemary  even a year after you left you know it is strange to share those moments that we spent together,even though you have gone to heaven you are still in my heart♥️ when you have someone in heaven we have a little piece of heaven in your house always 👵 I love my mom  🌹🌹🕊🕊🙏🙏💫💫

Rosemary is missed daily by all her family and friends. She would be so overjoyed knowing she just became (on December 28th) a great grandmother once again. She lives on in our hearts and through this precious miracle.. Aiden O’Conner Greenman.


I think of my best friend of 72 years almost every day.  I miss our long phone conversations and hearing about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will always be in my memories and in my heart.

I feel fortunate to have known Rosemary (even for a very brief period of time) before her journey to the heavens this month. We spent some days laughing at her stories on life, love and family. She spewed wit and sarcasm on the very first day we met. She enjoyed her meals, especially her desserts on days she was feeling fantastic. I admired her attention to detail and particularity with things like a #bosslady (and Social Media savvy for her generation mind you!). 

I was with her when she was picked-up by the Paramedics the very last time, I will never forget the thumbs-up and the grin on her face she gave me before the ambulance drove off that day.  She reminds me of my maternal grandmother who embodied strength and lived life with gravitas that may shame women today who cry #empowerment. I will truly miss her.

I met Rosemary when my best friend Debbie Kagay met Michael and go figure they got married and had 2 beautiful kids that Rosemary just adored.   Right away she accepted me into there family we where all such good  friends she was such a caring and loving person.  She was always so positive and ready to listen to anything you had to say.  As years went on I hadn't seen Rosemary much but always would ask about her.  She has a fabulous family that I care about very much my sincere condolences for your loss she will always be in our hearts.

My favorite memory of my grandma was when I was working at the phone exchange in Whittier.  I was going out with some friends later that night.  I came over to her house to get ready.  I remember sitting outside in the backyard with her having a beer and talking about work and friends.  We both were present with each other in a way that made me feel connected and cared about.  

My Deepest sympathy to Mike, Debbie and the rest of the family on the passing of Rosemary Greenman. Words are insufficient at a time like this but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending so much love to you all. Dustin Kagay

Rosemary 😍🌹   I am part of our life the moment we met her she was not a neighbor was an essencial part of the family affectionate, kind mi favorite part was when we shared a delicious cup of coffee or tea in the morning that  was even more delicious in her pleasante company. He was a wonderful and excellent person he had many qualities know there are people who inspire you, others who do you good and there are those who without asking permission touch your soul and she was one of them for me l will always remember you and carry in my heart. 

My favorite memory with Grandma Rosie were the afternoons we spent together when I was 6 or 7. I would set the kitchen table with napkins and paper plates after coming home from school each day while she made us each a little chicken sandwich (the ones from Costco) with 4 baby pickles each. They were technically gherkins, she would later inform me. Sharing our sandwich and pickles after school became our ritual together each afternoon, eventually we'd argue who loved pickles more ( I suppose she did). We would then spend the rest of the day outside. grandma would  sit in the same shady spot in the backyard with her latest book,  while I climbed the tether ball pole and ran around the yard. The memory of our special afternoons has always sat at the forefront of my mind, both of our minds actually, as it is one we often used to reminisce about. Grandma Rosie made it a point to connected with everyone God placed in her life.  She made friends with ease and was always invested in the people around her. We were so very blessed to have her for the years that we did. She will be deeply missed.

Rosy, I'm having a hard time with this. I am so glad I got to see you a few years ago while I was still in Whittier. I thought you'd live forever. We had lunch at Rubies and you told me some of the old stories from my childhood. Anything I wanted to know.  Thank you for that, it meant a lot to me.
I can still remember you making us Tomato Soup with your copper bottom pot when we were kids. It was so good. I don't know what you did to it; plain can soup, but it was the best. Your house was always open to us and I'm so glad you still lived there.  You used to rub our ear lobes for what reason, I do not know but that was your thing. I remember going to the beach on nice warm days playing all day in the water and later that evening we would go to the drive in and watch what ever Disney movie was playing at the Sun Down. Childhood memories. Good heart warming memories. I will forever remember you.  I wish I could make it down for your service. Thank you for the talks about our past, I really appreciate it. I pray you rest peacefully now, Rosy.  No more worries... no more pain...  no more meds or tests.  Just joy and happiness. Say hello to mom and day for me.  God bless you.

On February 6, 2020 Rosemary Greenman passed away peacefully with her family by her side.  She was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, September 30, 1936 and had a successful career working for NASA and the Department of Justice.  She was 83 years old.  Rosemary deeply loved her family and friends and lived life to the fullest.  Rosemary was loving, vibrant, very intelligent, a good friend to many and had a witty sense of humor.  She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.  Rosemary is survived by her children Michael and Debbie, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and three siblings.

The family invites you to the funeral service at Hillside Chapel, Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier on Friday, February 21 at 12:00 PM (viewing 11:00 – 12:00). 


Rosie was my sister, her loving nature is obvious from her friends and family and their response to her passing. She cared deeply for all of her family and friends. We never have as much time as we want with loved ones. Cherish every minute.

I've known Rosemary for many years, through Deb Kagay and her son and daughter.  When I lived in California and saw Rosemary on occasions, she would always lift you up and show kindness and humor with everyone.   Later, I connected with Rosemary on Facebook and we shared many thoughts and opinions on everything from health to politics.  I will miss connecting with her and I know her loved ones will miss her always.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Rest in Peace, Rosemary and God Bless.

Grandma Rosie has been in my life since day 1, we share a special bond that you feel deep in your soul. We’d spend countless hours on the phone, only if I wasn’t at her house. 
Almost all of my childhood memories are spent laughing and playing at grandmas house. She is one of the strongest women I know and I’m blessed that I had her for so long. She really became everyone’s grandma. My you finally Rest In Peace and please continue to watch over and guide me. I love you so much grandma... forever your Missy
