In 2009 Ricardo agreed to chaperone 15 teen students with me on a trip to Italy and Greece — that was when I gained a forever friend! He told me that he read an article that most people really only have 10 good friends.  I told him he’d always be in my top ten!  We ran with that exchange of “top ten” ever since.  
The truth is that trip Ricardo was such a supportive and kind friend, that without him I don’t know if I’d have made it through.  He took all 15 students twice on excursions so that I could take care of my health! 
He told me recently he was so moved, maybe ever surprised, how so many sent him things and showed up for him. I reminded him that he was a great friend to so many and maybe he might just let us love him.  
Ricardo will be remembered as a top ten friend to so many! 
He will  be my top ten friend forever! 
Rest well my friend!♥️

Ricardo was such a great man. We met years ago through Softball, baseball, and karate. Although we were not on the same rec team we managed to become good friends. I remember when we met was at a little league game where my son was playing his son's team. I made a comment while he was helping coach 3rd and we began talking. Shortly after that I would recognize him all over the sporting events we shared with our kids. My son would bring me to him and say "Hey it's 'the guy' go talk to him." Over the years we had become friends even though our kids never shared the same field as teammates, with the exception of Allstars one year.  We shared parents nights out at karate, time at the field, and parties at eachothers houses for the kids. You will be truly missed my friend. Rest easy "the guy".
