Michael,
I was saddened to hear of your passing but it also brought back fond memories of growing up in Inglewood. Though we are not related, we share the same last name. I remember as kids/young teens, the many different weekends where we would meet up at Rogers Park to play over the line in baseball or pick up tackle football. It was my crew of friends versus your crew. We had many good battles and it was always in good sportsmanship. Later we connected again when you started refereeing, you were the referee at several of my son’s Jr. All American football games.  Lastly, we both worked many years for the City of Inglewood. I remember your love, how you helped me when I moved from California. I also remember from the time you were born, that I loved you. Your mother would tell me to watch you while she prepared dinner, it was my favorite thing to do. You will be missed from among the living. But I remember the words Jesus spoke from the Cross, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise". Rest in peace, Michael.

As I ponder words of comfort to DiBabe, Jenn, Eric, Justina and all the kids, I can only stand on the promise as it is written in John 14:2.  Christ Jesus has prepared a HOME for all who BELIEVE that he is THE GREAT I AM and I trust that you are safe in his arms just as other believers before you!

Cousin Michael, I remember our last conversation you offered me your condolences in David's passing. You shared that you'd been distant and you wanted to become closer to family. It was nice to here you say these things because we are family  and family should always be there for each other. I will always remember your warm tender heart. You constantly gave of your self not looking for anything in return. Rest in peace

It’s bittersweet I will always remember you acknowledging me with a simple hello. Most people won’t even take the time but you did!!  You had such a warm spirit. Gone but not forgotten!!! I remember Aaron playing at Rodgers park while you were working there. 

Absent from the body means to be present with the Lord. May you take your rest! My condolences to the family!!!
