Maria Trevino

Maria de Jesus Alcaraz de Treviño was born April 6th, 1948, in Colima Mexico to Martin Alcaraz and Isaura Chavez and had 11 siblings. Maria was raised in Ensenada, Baja California and as a young adult migrated to California to work.

It was there that Maria met and married her late husband Valente Treviño and together they had four children. After her husband's passing, at a very young age, she worked very hard to provide for her children. As one of the eldest of her family she looked after her elderly parents and helped with her younger siblings. She always instilled the importance of a strong work ethic and was a role model to us all. Maria was a resident of South Gate for 23 years and retired from Monogram Aerospace Fasteners in 2006.

Maria our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Isaura Alcaraz. Her sisters Martha and Isaura and her brother Francisco. She is survived by her sons George and Aldo Trevino and her daughters Isaura Hernandez and Kim Zaragoza. Her grandchildren: Jessica Acosta, George Treviño Jr., Jesse Anthony Hernandez, Michael Treviño, Briana Zaragoza, Bryan Zaragoza, Justin Hernandez, and Daniel Zaragoza. Her great grandchildren Alyssa, Ava, Michael, and Audrey Acosta. Bryan, Benjamin, Beckham, and Briella Zaragoza. Jesse and Jacob Hernandez.

Maria was a truly wonderful woman left a mark in all our hearts and taught us all what it was to be loving, caring, compassionate, humble, and empathetic. She loved her family and was a selfless woman whose passing has left an incredible void in the hearts of her loved ones.

It is with the upmost sadness that we announce her parting from our world, but we take comfort in knowing that she continues to watch over us, protecting us, and guiding us as she did when she was here. May you rest with our Lords heavenly grace, until we meet again.
