My condolences to the Diaz family.  Lydia was an amazing selfless person. She always encouraged me in my endeavors and let me play the piano and allowed me to practice at her home. She was also very instrumental in motivating me to pursuing my education. My favorite memory of her is when I told her that I had been considering a degree in psychology. I had just been introduced to the work of Sigmund Freud. She was aghast. "I hope you know that that man was crazy and that his theories have been debunked." I still laugh about it. I pursued my degree and since I have done what she encouraged me to do and that was to uplift our communities of color. I will be forever grateful to her and Ben. Their light helped ignite mine. Rest in Power!

My condolences go out to Paul and his family. Your mother was a wonderful science teacher to me while I was at MVHS. I learned so much in her class and always admired her teaching style. I was blessed to have a wonderful teacher. Lots of prayers and hugs to the family.
