Kathryn Lynn Hance

Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, Nonna, sister, and friend. She was married to her beloved husband, Jack Hance, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a family filled with love, traditions, and countless memories.

Kathryn had one of the biggest hearts anyone could know. She was caring, beyond generous, selfless, thoughtful, tenderhearted, supportive, nurturing, and deeply loving. Her children were always at the center of her world, and she was the kind of mother who was always there—ready to listen, help, comfort, encourage, and love without hesitation.

Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Kathryn was a hands-on Nonna who made sure her grandchildren knew they were loved. She was always there when they needed her, creating memories and traditions that will be treasured for generations. Whether she was cooking for her family, making her famous sandwiches, watching old television shows, listening to music, caring for her pets, or simply spending time with the people she loved, Kathryn found happiness in the simple moments that brought her family together.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer and her husband Israel, Melissa and her husband Luke, and Rod and his wife Rebecca; her grandchildren, Noah, Holly, Adam, Jordan, Roxzan, Connor, Wyatt, and Karina; and her siblings, Rhonda Wood-Krause and Michael Guilford.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Hance, and her parents, Bill and Dorothy Guilford.

Kathryn leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and family. She will be remembered for her tender heart, her nurturing spirit, her unwavering support, and the way she made the people around her feel cared for and loved.

Her family will forever carry her love with them—in the family traditions she created, the recipes she shared, the music she loved, the stories they tell, and in the countless memories of a Mom and Nonna who was always there.

She was a loving Mom. A devoted wife. A wonderful Nonna. And a beautiful soul who will be missed more than words can ever express.

A Funeral Service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park - Memorial Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601, US, on October 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Kathryn’s final resting place will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, in Carnation Lawn, Gate Number 1, Row 11, Lot 2747, Space 2, with burial on October 7, 2026.
