Joseph Jerhow Shaw

Joseph was born on November 27, 1957 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He came to the United States in his 20’s with his immediate family. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and son. Joseph was a devoted Christian, enjoyed playing golf, and making his friends and family laugh. He is survived by his wife, Julie, and his 2 children, Joshua and Bernice — as well as his brother Jerry, and sister, Tammy.

As many of you know, Joseph battled many health issues for over a decade. After a miracle kidney transplant 2 years ago, he was in good spirits and hopeful for more time with his family. During this period of renewal, he watched his son get married and his daughter get engaged. Joseph had more inspiration, energy, and even started to plan for a future trip to see his motherland, Taiwan. We are so grateful for these last few years with him. 

Unfortunately, Joseph’s health took a turn during this past Fall, when previous health issues complicated his transplant recovery. Though his spirit was strong, his mind and body weakened. On March 4 at 1:22AM, Joseph was relieved from his suffering, instantly passing away from a cardiac arrest at home while he was with his loving wife, caretaker, and best friend, Julie.

Thank you for sending your prayers and support for Joseph as he joins his mom, dad, and brother in Heaven. We already miss his jokes and his warm smile.

We invite you to celebrate his life with us on Saturday, March 18th at 1:00PM at The Hall of Wisdom, at the Hua Yuan Center at Rose Hills (3890 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California 90601). Please park in the Hua Yuan lot, we will start with a viewing and funeral program, then drive up to the burial site where Joseph will be laid to rest.

Joseph will be laid to rest in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601; Garden of Serenity; Gate: 1, Section: 20, Lot: 1194, Grave: 4.

Joseph於1957年11月27日出生於台灣高雄。他在 20 多歲時隨直系親屬來到美國。他是一個充滿愛心的丈夫、兄弟、父親和兒子。約瑟夫是一位虔誠的基督徒，喜歡打高爾夫球，喜歡逗他的朋友和家人開懷大笑。他身後留下了他的妻子Julie,和他的兩個孩子Joshua和Bernice，以及他的兄弟Jerry和妹妹Tammy。

Joseph 十多年來，一直為著身體的健康在奮鬥. 2 年前奇蹟般地進行了腎臟移植手術，他精神煥發，希望能有更多時間與家人在一起。這段更新期，他看著兒子結婚，女兒訂婚。約瑟夫有了更多的靈感，精力，甚至開始計劃未來的台灣之旅。我們很欣慰這幾年與他在一起的時間。不幸的是，Joseph的健康狀況在去年秋天出現了變化，他的健康問題使他的移植恢復變得複雜。雖然他的𩆜性強大，但他的思想和身體卻虛弱了。 於是在3 月 4 日凌晨 1 點 22 分，Joseph 御下他在世間的苦痛，回到天家與主相見.
