I had the pleasure of being a John’s neighbor for about 20 years. We are definitely going to miss the homemade chocolate fudge, brownies, taquitos, tacos, menudo, mangos, watermelon, popcorn, but most of all his kind words, smile and laugh. Whenever I needed help with something around the house John was always willing to help. We considered Johnson a part of our family. We had many nights of great conversations where John would share stories from Vietnam. Some good and some bad. The John my family grew fond of was a kind, loving man who was generous beyond belief.

JOHNSON!!! I hope you are enjoying a glass of Pinot Grigio while playing Baccarat or watching the ponies. Thank you for everything you did for me and my girls. We will miss you. Rest easy my Friend. We love you!

My Uncle John used to take me to the Santa Anita Race track when I was 14 years old, he taught me how to bet. It was so fun. When I was in elementary school my Aunt Ruth and Uncle John would take me to the park and we would have so much fun. We used to live in Rowland Heights and go visit them up on Gallio St. which was a very steep street. Well, I was a skateboarder and we went to visit them for a Bbq. I remember a little later in the day Uncle John putting on some knee and elbow pads and grabbing the skateboard and heading up the hill. I knew it wasn’t a good idea but he was bigger than life to me. Well he skateboarded down and of course got the wiggles and bit it hard. It was so funny, he was ok and we were all laughing. God Bless You Uncle John. Thank you for being a good Uncle to me.

We will miss his friendship and his unique personality very much, but he was very endearing, and it's best that we cherish the best memories of him from when he was alive. May God give them strength to overcome these difficult times !

Heart felt condolences and peace for the soul .

I have so many fond and fun memories of my Uncle John. He always pulled so many crazy and funny stunts!! He took me to my first baseball game (Dodgers of course) and taught me about football, he loved UCLA! Rest in peace Uncle John. Thank you for your service. And to all the family, my condolences.

My condolences to your family and friends, I remember we would get a kick that our birthadys were both on April 4th, our initials were the same JS, and our nick names were the same growin up. Rest in peace John.
