Jamila left a sense of grace that everything will be alright with the right attitude. Anytime my brother and I became disgruntled, she had a way of mitigating any situation. She will be missed by myself and wife Maria. 
 My condolences to my brother and Jamila side of the fam as well. I can only empathize. She is off to a bigger,...better place with other souls once here and still here with us in literal spirit. May we all be together one day again in another time and enjoy the days here on beloved earth.

I met Jamila while we were both receiving radiation treatment at Mayo.   I so enjoyed our visits.  So was always a bright spot in my day.  Rest in peace dear Jamila,  you are forever healed.

Jamila will be deeply missed. There were times we’d meet for breakfast and talk about our lives — those were such special moments that I will truly miss. I’ve known Jamila since I was little, and I remember her bringing Gina and me to her boyfriend’s house and his gas station. I have so many wonderful memories of her taking us on little adventures and sharing her time with us.

Jamila was amazing in so many ways — giving, loving, kind, and incredibly generous. She loved Gina and her family with all her heart. My last conversation with her, just the day before she passed, was about how much she worried for her loved ones — Gina, her dad, her son, her husband, her grandkids, everyone. I told her that Sheri and I would carry her torch and do our best to take care of her family. They are my family too.

I am heartbroken that I won’t be there for her memorial service, but my heart and prayers are with her family. I’ll be praying every day that God comforts their hearts and fills them with peace. We will miss her so much, but I find comfort knowing she is now with her mom and with God.

Rest in peace, Jamila. Until we meet again.

This was us at Rosalia's Funeral. It was great to see everyone and be able to spend some time afterwards. it's been a long time but it was great to have that time.

Jamila came to my Mother's Day Brunch. it was Jamila, Gina and Sherry. We ate and made flowers. it was a lovely day!

I believe this was Gina's birthday. Jamila was the best sister! she was always taking care of  Gina and always have.

Dear family, I am sending this as my condolence; and my apologies for being uncertain of making it. Jamila will be missed as I remember how sweet she was to me and Maria. She is in no more pain and up there with my mom and other loved ones.  I wish you all the best and safe travels as family comes and goes.
