Uncle Jack, as I affectionately was permitted to address him, was always affable and receptive towards me. He made me feel welcome every time I visited the Williams heavenly abode. I loved the way he spoke to his beloved wife, Auntie LuLu. Aside from my own father, I thought Uncle Jack was the epitome of an ideal dad. I’m inclined to recall his assemblage of the 53rd Street Dodgers, in the early’60’s. He was patient, and a great motivator and bore an encouraging voice. He would treat us to refreshments after practices, much to the delight of all of us “Dodgers”. 
Most recently, Uncle Jack, sought my culinary expertise in hosting a backyard soirée. He had everything well organized and among several assignments he allowed me to spearhead, I didn’t know how to PEEL a watermelon. Sure I’d cut/sliced a watermelon, but I hadn’t peeled one. Uncle Jack, using kind and precise guidance, demonstrated how it’s done. 
What a Joy it was to be in his presence!!
