He commissioned this with a local artist whilst serving there.   Jack never forgive Pres. Truman for sending him there, we'd laugh about that.  He loved to claim that his being in the Army was tougher than my being a Marine, always tongue-in-cheek of course.  I miss his sense of humor.

As was his habit, Jack would faithfully read his local newspaper, whilst watching Fox News.  He always had informed opinions and was monitoring current events closely. 
Jack was a good man, and he lived by the 'Golden Rule', always treating someone as he'd like to be treated.

Believe it or not, Jack never forgive Pres. Truman for sending him to Korea.  We'd laugh at that, and debate whether the Army or Marine Corp was the more grueling...
