Gerardino “Gero/Jerry” Cruz Jr., aged 50, passed away on Thursday, January 1st, 2026. Gero was born in Huntington Park, CA. He is survived by his kids Jessel, Janelle, Julian, and German; 4 grandchildren (10, if you include pets); mom, Raquel; brothers and sisters, Cesar, Efrain, Nancy, and Rachel; many nieces and nephews.
Jerry had many passions in his life like fishing and car-clubbing with the Majestics, and loved sharing experiences with his kids, such as Nascar races, Monster Jam shows, and playing baseball in the park. He found the potential in every piece of decor he came across; he would beautify the pieces and always offer them to people he felt could use and appreciate them.
His children and grandchildren are grateful for the memories, time, love, and lessons he shared, and endless car repairs he performed for them. His comforting and playful spirit will forever be cherished and missed.
A visitation will be held at Rose Hills Mortuary, located at 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California, 90601, on January 20, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park - SkyRose Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California, 90601, on January 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
Gerardino will be laid to rest at Rose Hills Memorial Park, located at 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California, in the Spring Terrace section, Row 4, Lot 3010, Space 2, Gate Number 1, on January 21, 2026.
