Freddie Roy Thompson

Freddie was always a one of a kind soul. As a child he loved to build things and go fishing. He was always good with his hands and slick with his words.

Freddie was known for his funny and crazy stories that he told. He knew how to put a smile on your face or make you laugh until your side would hurt. There was never a dual moment with him. He was always a good listener and very easy to talk to. There was never a time he wouldn't go out his way to make sure his family was always taken care of.

Later in life he grew a love for cars and fell in love with his van named Ebony eyes. That van was his prize possession and no one could tell him anything about his baby. Before he could finish school in Louisiana he moved to California and graduated from Job Corps and completed the rest of his education there.

In 1977 Freddie started working at Metropolitan State Hospital where he was manager of housekeeping, and janitorial. He loved working at Metro and was very proud of his accomplishments in life. Freddie worked for the company for 33 years before retiring.

He loved to travel and just enjoy life. Being around family was what he loved the most. He was never shy to speak his mind with no hesitation. He loved hard and cared so much for his family. Freddie was very much a family man and made sure he kept in touch with all his siblings no matter what. Weather it was spending hours on the phone talking about nothing or just reminiscing on their past childhood, he would reach out just to let you know he was thinking about you.

Freddie left behind his three daughters: Lisa Thompson, Krissy Frazier and the baby Freddie Thompson which she carried his name.

Freddie also left behind his siblings. brothers: Leroy jr, Arthur, Robert, Sylvester, John Roy, Jerry, Tommy and Bobby. Sisters: May Bell, Betty, Mary, Gloria, Jo Ann, Bobbie

Grandchildren: Amiyah Thompson, Hugh Thompson, Kamasha Jackson, Breanna Goodrum, Kristian Fraizer
