In Loving Memory of Dien Yip
10/14/1955 - 06/23/2023
It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Dien Yip on June 23rd, 2023, surrounded by his beloved family. He will always be cherished as a devoted husband to his wife of 36 years, JoAnn Quach, and a proud father to his three sons: Kevin, Aaron, and Darren.
Dien was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1979, starting his pursuit of happiness in Seattle, WA, and finally settling in Hacienda Heights, CA. Throughout his life, Dien exhibited an unwavering dedication to providing for his family, working tirelessly at two jobs for the majority of his years. He was able to retire after 30 years with the United States Postal Service while also working as a freelance videographer capturing precious moments for newlyweds across Southern California. Through his business and reputation, he forged lifelong friendships within the close-knit community of the San Gabriel Valley.
During his 67 years, Dien had the opportunity to explore the world alongside his dear friends and family, visiting nearly all seven continents more than once. In his later years, he discovered a deep passion for ballroom dancing, sharing this joy with his wife and forming meaningful connections with fellow community members. Many of his close friends recognized him to be the group's organizer for trips and social outings due to his leadership and trust.
Funeral services to honor Dien's memory will be held on July 15, 2023, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Rose Hill SkyRose Chapel. Following the service, Dien will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Alpine Terrace, Gate:1, Section 5, Lot: 328, Grave: 1.
In lieu of other tributes, the family kindly requests white floral arrangements from guests who wish to send flowers.
May Dien's spirit forever inspire us to embrace life's adventures and cherish the love we share with those around us.
