David Lee Harris

In 1969, Dave graduated from Chaffey High School and entered the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard. He served for six years.

Driving a truck for his vocation, Dave spent a majority of his work life with Westside Building Materials in Anaheim, California— through which he valued many close friendships.

Dave and Marcia (Escobar/Harris) married in 1979. Although this relationship was not permanent, they had two children together, Michelle and Lisa. The girls were raised with much love and care, from daily routine to summer adventures.

Dave enjoyed vacations to the Colorado River, Vegas getaways, and Hawaii. His affinity for the Dallas Cowboys was long-standing. He loved having a dog, and he loved music. Dave was in his sanctuary while sitting on the backyard patio.

David died on July 21, 2023, when his resilience could not keep up with his health concerns.

He was preceded in death by his older brother Allan in the Vietnam War. He is survived by daughters Michelle Harris-Gloyer (Matthew) and Lisa Harris-Perez (Jessica) and grandchildren Chaplin (16) and Kaiden (3).

A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023, 10:00 AM, at Upland Christian Church (1510 N San Antonio Ave, Upland, CA 91786). If you would like to make a gift in Dave’s honor, you may contribute to his grandchildren’s college funds or your local animal shelter.
