Looking at this picture from my 40th birthday in Pittsburgh, I'm reminded of Carroll's incredible spirit. It meant so much that you guys flew all the way from California to surprise me. Carroll truly was the life of the party, especially on the dance floor! He had a way of connecting with everyone, and his infectious energy made him so loved by all. He will be so deeply missed. This picture from your visit to Boston is a treasured memory. We had such an amazing time touring the city, playing basketball, and just enjoying each other's company. One of my favorite memories is attending the Rose Bowl Parade with Tonja and CW.  We had so much fun. In true CW fashion, he made friends with a little boy and made sure he had fun too. He made friends wherever he went. It was a joy to be his friend and “family member”. 

Tonja and CW had a beautiful relationship. I have always admired what they had. My # has always been #relationshipgoals. 

CW made the world a better place and he will be greatly missed. And I will forever smile when I think of him saying, “Help a Brother Out” #HBO.  God bless you, CW.

There are people who walk into your life and quietly change everything. Carroll was one of those rare souls. A man of immense wisdom, unwavering integrity, and a heart so full of grace that it humbled everyone around you.  He didn’t just live—instead he elevated life for those lucky enough to know him. As a friend, he gave without hesitation. And as a mentor, he shaped lives with patience, humility, and substance.
Today, I remember a man whose life was a masterclass in integrity, honor, and grace. An accomplished lawyer who fought with brilliance and fairness, a devoted husband, an exceptional father, loyal friend, and a guiding mentor— Carroll walked this earth with quiet strength and unwavering purpose. He didn’t just practice law; he practiced humanity. With every case he took, every person he helped, and every life he touched, he left behind a legacy of justice, compassion, and humility.
Carroll taught many of us that true greatness lies not in titles or accolades, but in how we treat others—in the kindness we extend, the wisdom we share, and the dignity with which we carry ourselves. He lived not to be admired, but too uplift. And in doing so, he became unforgettable.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit continues to lead us. In every act of fairness, in every moment of grace, in every courageous stand for what is right—we feel him. His life was a light, and that light will never dim.
I honor him not with sorrow, but with gratitude. For having known him. For having learned from him. For having loved him.
Rest in peace, my dear brother. You were—and always will be—one of the finest men I’ve ever known and your legacy lives in all who was blessed to call you a brother.
