

Bong Yul Jon-Michael Pyun, age 70, passed away on March 15, 2026, in Los Angeles, California. Born in Gyeongbuk, Korea, Bong Yul lived a life marked by quiet strength, kindness, and a selfless heart, always putting others before himself.
He attended the University of Hawaii and served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he advanced through the ranks of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), earning respect for his dedication, leadership, and integrity.
In 2016, Bong Yul was baptized and embraced the Christian faith, which became a meaningful part of his life.
In his younger years, Bong Yul enjoyed playing soccer and later found great peace in fishing, a pastime he cherished. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, generosity, and thoughtful spirit.
Bong Yul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Eunice, as well as four brothers and three sisters.
A viewing will be held at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM on April 11, 2026, at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Hall of Grace Chapel, in Whittier, California.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
