Mom, thank you for devoting your life to taking care of us. The love you gave us every day is gift we will carry forever. Thank you for teaching us, through your own beautiful example, how to care for others. You were a truly magnificent mother. I love you, always.

Our mother, Ruby was the heart of our family. She will be missed.  Love does transcends time and space; she will live forever in our heart and minds for eternity. May she rest in peace.

I am saddened at the news of my aunt Ruby's passing, but treasured the many memories I had of her when I was younger.  She was the matriarch of the family who always baked for us delicious treats as well as gave us the beautiful ceramics she made. I still have her ceramics displayed in my house.

She would asked my dad (her brother) from time to time how I was doing since I lived out of state for many years and I know this was her way of showing her love for me.

I am fortunate to have visited her and my cousins (Willie and David) two years ago.  I will always have the fond memories of seeing her and my dad on her family room's couch.  They both were smiling and happily reminiscing old times together.

Loved you and missed you Auntie Ruby...may you rest in heaven.

David Lwin and Family

I am saddened by the passing of your beloved mother.  I admire the loving care that you and your brothers provided for her as long as I have known you.   I remember all the medical appointments on the west side you faithfully drove her to, just to make sure she got the best care.

From the stories you have shared with me, I can tell how much you and your brothers loved her and how much see loved you.  Thank You for sharing some of those special family moments with me: car rides to the Bay Area for family visits, airline flights, graduations, and of course Laker games.

Words can’t describe the sadness I felt when I heard the news about my big sister Ruby’s passing and how I wish I was closer to home so I can see her one last time.  Ruby was not just a big sister, she is a strong, thoughtful and the glue that keeps her family together. She was more than a great sister, mother and grandmother, she was also a great baker and an artist.  Her cakes and pastries are unimaginably so good that everyone who had them will be craving for more every day. The ceramic figures she makes are not just a piece of art; it’s having a historical and personal meaning to our family lives. 

While I’m sadden our lifetime together ended too soon, I’m grateful to have Ruby as my sister and I find comfort in knowing her beautiful soul has found its eternal home in heaven, fully healed and free.

I will miss you my beautiful sister, but I know your memories will always be treasured in my heart.  Fly free in heaven. I love you forever.

Nearly 40 years ago, my cousin Ruby helped me begin my career @ Inter Community Hospital, where I had the privilege of working alongside her & her husband (Peter). Her support played an important role in helping me become who I am today.
Ruby was kindhearted, humble, and lived simply, setting a meaningful example for all of us. 
I will always cherish the time we shared & the memories.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my beloved sister Ruby Young Lwin.  I am grateful to have had her as my sister, and I am grateful to have her as my anchor in life.  May I take moment to share some of my earliest memories and to pay my respects to my departed sister.  Our family lived in Kan Taw Ka Lay, Rangoon, Burma in British era.  We, the happy bunch lived all out and lived like it was heaven on earth.  We sang like  there was no body listening, and we danced like there was no body watching.  I appreciate for the love, laughter, and precious moments I shared with my sister.  I thank her for her loves and supports throughout my childhood years and beyond.  My sister was an artist and hard worker.  Her ceramic artwork displaced in my house are now treasured recollections of fond memories.  May my beloved sister rest in peace.

Mrs Lwin was a kind lady.  No words can ease the pain of losing such a great mother.  I hope the family finds comfort in the many cherished memories she leaves behind.   With heartfelt sympathy.
