You loved playing LCR especially when you won. 

Ruben lived his life to the fullest with his long time loving partner Gloria.  He was a good son to his mom Grace & dad Ruben Sr, & always had a smile on his face. He worked hard, sometimes 3 jobs to support his children & never complained. You were loved & I know will be missed by many! RIP dear Brother in Law. 

It doesn't feel real that you're gone. I'm still waiting to hear your voice and see you again. You will be missed and I want you to know you were the best step dad I could ask for. Now get back to umpiring and causing mischief in heaven. 

We miss you dear friend but will treasure the great times we shared especially our long conversations about the Los Angeles Dodgers. 

I met Ruben 32 years ago at Sanwa in the bank card dept (also met his life partner Gloria at the same time ).  He was so Ruben, one of a kind.  Always joking, talking crap, I'll admit that's what I loved the most abt him.  Rough along the edges but that was our Ruben.  So loved his Dodgers at the begining of every season and couldn't stand them at the end of a losing season.   But we all know he was True Blue.  I could always just talk to him and laugh and joke and maybe even some serious conversations too.  I will miss thinking that he is out having fun at happy hour with all his friends, at some concert of a park or traveling anywhere life took him.  Gone much to soon , I Will Miss You Ruben

I'll never forget when you would umpire my games and the league said it was favoritism and we all laughed because you would give me the worst strike zone out of anybody. I'll miss you Old Bird.
