Sister Lewis, my daughters and I send our sympathy. They loved Deacon Lewis, especially my middle daughter. He was with us through some tough times in our lives. He always had a word for me or them,, no matter what we were going through. I’m happy you both were able to attend my middle daughter’s wedding over eight years ago.

I will always be grateful to him for the Bible studies and Sunday school lessons he taught and for the encouragement he gave me as I taught the children. His passion for teaching the word truly inspired me.

He will be missed but we know when he went to sleep on this side, he awakened in the presence of Jesus.

Rest well Uncle Melvin. Give Granddaddy a hug and kiss for me.
