Edmon Chi Wai Kwan, 83 years old, of Chino Hills passed away on Monday March 9, 2026 surrounded by family at Chino Valley Medical Center. Edmon was born on October 3, 1942 in Canton China to Shek Kwan and Yin Yee Kwan. Edmon is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice Kwan, his three sons, and their families: Michael and his wife Katy, Lennan and his wife Rhonda and Nathan and his wife Thao. He was also survived by his siblings Davy Kwan, Tammy Hwang, May Kwan, Maylin Kwan and Nelson Kwan. And finally he was survived by his four grandchildren Rianna Mamitag, Alyssa Kwan, Andy Kwan, and Maddox Kwan.
In his youth, Mr. Kwan enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, cars, and photography among many other hobbies. Later in life he enjoyed the company of close family and friends over morning coffee and afternoon tea. Most afternoons you would find Edmon in his study reading his latest book while occasionally watching over grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at Rose Hills Mortuary on Monday March 23, 2026. Visitation is from 9am until 11am, with memorial service from 11am to 12pm, followed by a graveside burial from 12pm to 1pm. We invite all who knew and loved Edmon to join us in honoring his memory.
Final resting will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, in Valley Oak Lawn, Gate 1, Row 2, Lot 1912, Space 1.
