My condolences to the Sanchez family. Carlos was a kind soul! He had a great sense of humor and embodied the true meaning of friendship. I first met Carlos about 18 years ago on a fishing trip to the Eastern Sierra Nevada. He embraced all new comers to the group and made us feel welcomed. Through his kindness, friendship and love for fishing he has left a legacy and tradition that will keep his memory alive for years to come. This year wasn't the same without him but we're grateful to be a part of this tradition that he welcomed us into. Thank you Carlos, rest in peace.

I don't know how to start this but here I go Carlos. I promise to keep it short. I would like to first start by thanking you for being the best grandfather you could be to my kid's. Also for your patience with me from a young man without guidance to the person I am now. Our conversations about hunting, fishing, my kid's, the Sierras will always have a special place in my heart. How can I thank you for the gift you gave me on opening day this year? Talk about hard fishing,
but in your words "I rather be here fishing than at work". I promise to keep the Sierras tradition going Carlos. Goodbye my friend and one last thank you for everything, especially for for the love and dedication to my kid's. Your friend and fishing buddy Oscar Silva.

Dear Sanchez Family,

My deepest condolences to you all, especially the most beautiful little lady Rosemarie aka grandma. I love you all so much and thank you for accepting my family and I into yours. We are very lucky and blessed to be a part of the most amazing family I’ve ever known. I send you all the love in my heart, strength and warm wishes during this difficult time! My favorite memories of Carlos are from Thanksgiving and Christmas. We could always count on him to make us laugh , carve the best turkey and make all the special deliveries! I promise to take good care of your beautiful daughter and grandchildren pal! I love and miss you! “ Hey Y’all” will forever remind me of you sweet sweet man!! The Kellys will hold the Sanchez clan close to our hearts. Tell my daddy hi for me in heaven.

Rose and family, so sorry for all. We will always remember Carlos and his smiling face, and his kind heart. Our love and prayers go out to you all.
We will be here if you ever need anything.

Love, Rudy & Sharyl Martinez
