Tom was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on November 19, 1947, the eldest child of Thomas R. and Barbara Clegg Dugan. He was a graduate of Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia, and received his bachelor’s degree from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina.
Tom loved his family and friends, both of his careers, U.S. Postal Inspector for 33 years and after his retirement, proprietor of California Wine and Cheese for seven years, and Ireland, most especially his dream home, Rathmore.
Tom is survived by his wife Janet, son Travis and daughter-in-law Corrine, son Scott and daughter-in-law Elisabeth, son Ryan, daughter Brianne, grandchildren Kaylynn, Aidan, Ellie, Audrey, Emily and Olivia, sister Marilynn and brother-in-law Gerry, sister Eileen and brother-in-law Bill, sister-in-law Linda, brother-in-law Michael and sister-in-law Bonnie, in-laws Bob and Lou, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends. Tom was predeceased by his parents, brother Richard and granddaughter Madison.
We will remember Tom for his kind and generous spirit. He made a difference in so many lives.
