Sister I'm still in disbelieve that you are gone. I can't believe that this Friday it will be 3 week that you close your eyes forever.  I miss your  calls everyday that you would call me and we would talk for hours till I would get to my house. I  love you forever in my heart 😭😭

Even though I was moved from Trinity in 2010, Sonia kept in touch with me all those years afterwards. In 2022, she surprised me at my retirement party and even spoke to the crowd. My heart was full to bursting! Sonia's heart was so big and she was a true friend.

I’m so happy that I had a chance to create great memories with my beautiful friend Sonia. This was in 5/2024

Sonia and I worked together at Trinity St. Elementary School. Great teacher and better friend. We were blessed to have her in our wedding 12 years ago. I will never forget you, Sonia.

My nina Sonia. 💖 I was so lucky to have you as not only my 1st and 2nd grade teacher, but also as my first communion Godmother. You and my mom greatly influenced my journey in becoming a teacher. I love you forever and you will forever be in our hearts. 🤍💐

These 3 days were life changing for us as a staff and Sonia embraced this opportunity 💯.

I'm sadden by the news of Ms. Perez passing I had the privilege of being in her 2nd grade class back in 1997. I remember her taking me and another student mini golfing for being on top of her class core memory for sure. I had the privilege of having Ms. Perez around me my whole life being part of mile stones through out my life such as my wedding, my graduation from my career I'm currently in along with family events. Thank you Ms. Perez for being a great teacher and an amazing human being this world lost great soul.

Words cannot express how much a hole is left after your passing. Every morning since that day I roll over hoping it was all a bad dream but I'm greeted with the reality, you're gone.
I can find some peace in that you're no longer suffering. You fought for so long that you deserve that peace. 

Wherever you are I hope you know I love you, I miss you and I will never forget you.

She was my 2nd grade teacher. Not only was she the best teacher that I’ve had up to this day but she was also the best human being that ever inspired me to be a better person. I will never forget how she believed in me. I can say she will forever be memorable in a special and unique way. May she always remain in our hearts.

💐Sonia you were always a genuine and loving person towards me and my family. I will miss catching up with you and our conversations.  It was always a pleasure to chat with you.  I truly appreciate you always taking the time to check in and encouraging us. You fought like a true champion and demonstrated courage through life’s most difficult challenge. It such a cliche to say “god always take the good ones” and in this case he certainly did. 💔You will truly be missed.  💕Our deepest condolences to Luzangela, Ivan, and the entire Perez family. May they find peace and comfort through this difficult time. 🙏May you rest in peace sweet angel 🪽

Your passing was such a surprise to me. I will always remember you as a courageous, kind, loving and joyful person.  You were always so welcoming at all family gatherings and made sure to set aside some time to catch up. I find comfort in knowing that you are now in a better place. I hope that you continue to watch over us from Heaven. You are missed... May you rest in peace 🙏

Saying good  bye to a strong independent rollmodel is hard for all of us  to hear.  Though the pain of loss may never completely go away,the love and memories we shared will always remain in our heart RIP gone but never forgotten ❤️

My beautiful tia, one of the strongest women in my life, a woman whose heart and soul are as beautiful as she is. You are such an empathetic and caring person. I just want you to know that you are utterly unforgettable. Thanks for being so positive, and always being such a strong foundation in my life. I love you and miss you so much tia!
