Rosalinda Ortiz

Beloved sister, wife, mother, grandma, Nona, and Gigi, Rosalinda Ortiz was born on August 30, 1944 and went to heaven on August 21, 2024 at the age of 79. Married to Gilbert Ortiz for a beautiful 63 years, Rosalinda is survived by five children, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She is the eldest of eleven children, and spent many years in her hometown of Texas before moving her family to California. She enjoyed her independence, spending time with her friends, listening to music, watering her plants, and singing karaoke. When her husband passed in 2018, she leaned on her friends and found comfort in their In N Out trips. She will be remembered for her cooking, long skirts, jean jackets, her love for jewelry and her sweet tea obsession. She will be surely missed, especially by her children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Rosalinda will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rose Hills Memorial Park - SkyRose Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, California 90601.
