Robert (Bob) Pasqual Luna, age 74, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, passed away on May 17th, 2024. Bob was born to Pasqual (Pat) Luna and Cecelia Sanchez on October 6, 1949, in Fresno, California. After a few years in Fresno, California, the family moved to East Los Angeles and then a year later relocated to San Gabriel where Bob spent his childhood and early adult life.
Bob began working at General Motors at age 18 until he was drafted into the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to1971 when he was honorably discharged from the Army. When Bob returned home from serving in the Army he continued to work at General Motors, moving back to San Gabriel until 1981 when he moved to La Mirada. That is where he met the love of his life, Ada, and they married in 1983. Bob worked at General Motors until 2006, retiring with 37 years of service. Ada and Bob moved to San Tan Valley, Arizona, in 2015 where they resided until his passing.
Bob was a huge Rolling Stones and Raiders fan, and he loved all Liam Neeson movies, but more than anything, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, always willing to be a good listener and offer support to anyone who needed it. His passion was riding motorcycles and fixing up his 1949 Chevy pick-up truck that had been his father’s truck. Bob also loved the Three Stooges and watching old western movies.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ada, and children Bobby (Sena) Luna, Donna (Armando) Luna, Steve (Jessica) Sisson, Michael (Samantha) Luna, Mark Luna, Jennifer (Abel) Luna, Patrick Luna, and Brian Luna, his sister, Patsy (Abel) Gonzales, and 24 grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his twin infant sons, Robert and Richard Luna, parents, Pat and Cecelia Luna, his sisters Phyllis Luna and Pauline Mier, and granddaughter, Lexi Luna.
